In assessing a romantic relationship as being ‘right’ or not, here is an important point to consider:
If there is a deep connection between the two of you; if you feel you have important things in common; if the person makes you smile on the inside more than anybody you know; if you love them the best and only in the world and you feel they also love you the same way, then these are signs to stay in the relationship.
If this same person can also piss you off and hurt you more than anybody you know, you might wonder if it’s a sign not to stay in the relationship… What to do?
Remember this: Love is the digesting agent for the hardest personal growth lessons and these generally occur within a relationship. Love speeds up learning and makes the learning worthwhile.
The best and right relationships can be those where the love and the difficulty of the lessons seem as strong as each other.
Introduction:
I wanted to share this article below because of its applicability to everybody!
It covers things we all have issues with, and that is feeling stuck in some way, in some area of our life. Steve Pavlina helps you identify the different ways you could be feeling stuck and conveys a strong point about our assessment of our inner growth, can be far from being accurate and closer to denial.
He says virtually all people have relationship, financial, career and health problems and the three main things that keep the problems alive and multiplying is 1: Our being in denial; 2: Feeling disconnected and 3: Our weakness. It’s interesting to see which of the three you are bugged by the most.
Pavlina reminds us that to successfully improve ourselves, we need help from honest, knowledgeable, inspiring people. Whenever I read this article, I’m reminded of my desires and how much more I want to improve my Self and my life; I feel safe to say, it could have this affect on you.

The Mind, Body and Spirit festival- the biggest new age expo in Melbourne, is here in a few days. Many people I know can’t wait to go because of the tantalizing things for your senses to enjoy, intriguing products and services for your emotional and spiritual health as well as some enlightening talks to attend, maybe even a psychic reading…
As many times as I’ve been to these expos, I discover things that I’ve never seen before, let alone never heard of existing before. Melbourne is constantly churning out great new stuff that you may not experience anywhere else except at the Mind, Body and Spirit expo. And you can’t miss out on interstate and overseas guests and all the goodies they bring with them.
If you’ve been searching for a new health drink or herb or food that will give your body that fabulous boost but didn’t know where to find it- you’ll find it at the Mind, Body and Spirit expo. (more…)

Future Self Consulting Room
I began reading an article called “The seven weird habits that will change your life” and I didn’t expect to find something that would actually grab me, but this part of the article did: ‘regularly engage in time travel’.
The author, Jonathan Mead, talks about a great method to solve problems is by having a conversation with your future self.
He posed a visualization exercise where you consult your inner guidance (without calling it that in his article). You sit in your favorite chair, close your eyes and imagine walking into a bare room with a card table and two fold out chairs- facing each other. Mead says to sit in the chair closest to you and then see your future self walk into the room… (more…)

I am so happy and grateful now that money comes to me in increasing quantities, from multiple sources on a continuous basis.
I am the sexiest wo/man in the universe.
I am working on my creative passions every day.
I am willing to grow and learn.
I am aware that anger is incorrect and withdraw myself from people in these instances, then communicate when I can do so in a peaceful manner.
I am learning and operating technology easily.
I am excited about my day when I wake up the morning.

Metamorphosis by koan
There is a page on my site called Inspirational Quotes. It would be more accurate to call the page ‘Koans’.
Tom said, “Do you know what a koan is?”
“No,” Shirley MacLaine answered.
“A koan,” said Tom, “is a question which a Zen master will pose to his student to inspire him or her to think more deeply about his own reality. ‘What is the sound of one hand clapping?’ That is a koan. ‘If a tree falls in the forest, does it make a sound if no one is there to hear it?’ That is a koan.
“Koans are intended to stimulate insight… it stimulates investigative thought… you know more about yourself.”
Koans are different to ’signs’ or (more…)
I went to a local market today and it was quite enjoyable.
I walked passed most of the stands because they were selling the usual stuff you see in discount stores.
I found some flowers and a bees wax candle. I would have bought some ferns if I could carry them to the car.
I got home and put the flowers on my desk and the candle in another room. The potent, natural smell of the flowers and how beautiful they looked made me so happy. And the bees wax candle: I thought how gorgeous… tiny, little, busy bees, spend their whole life, making this candle for me. How lucky I felt to enjoy something from nature and locally too. How healed I felt.
It’s so easy to bring nature into your house, rather than fill it with ‘things’ that don’t mean much. I find bringing nature into my home adds so much soul and healing energy to the space it’s in and I feel noticably more at peace and content.
I recently flew to Sydney and my mother and I went to see Deepak Chopra for his whole day lecture. It was a very exciting day for both of us.
I have read and enjoyed many of Deepaks books over the years: Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, Path to Love and more recently The Way of the Wizard and this was for me, a once in a lifetime opportunity to see this legend of new age spiritualism, in person.
When I arrived at the venue there were already hundreds of people peacefuly waiting for the doors to open.
At the start of the workshop he gave an overview of the day’s topics and showed a video by Jill Bolte Taylor from TED.com . I was already enjoying the fact that Deepak Chopra and I were sharing a common TED experience.
Deepak Chopra is acknowledged as of the best public speakers of our time and over the day, I could see why. He was so deliberate, clear, calm and focused in everything he spoke about. The many subjects he spoke about were intriguing and very thought provoking. (more…)
In part one of this article, I outlined five of Deepak Chopra’s recommendations of how to nurture your spiritual life. He made several points about your intentions and seeing yourself and others in the light. From my understanding of Chopra’s article, I’d like to put forward the last five ground rules he suggests to enhance your spiritual life, followed by my reflections.
6. Learn to Forgive Yourself
You will recall from the section on seeing people in the light, that others are doing their best and to have understanding for them. Here, Deepak prompts us to apply this understanding to ourselves and forgive ourselves. He says that you are doing your best too, with what you know and where you’re at now.
My reflections: By keeping this powerful healing notion in mind of forgiving yourself, letting go of the past and letting go of guilt can be so much easier. Also, by being forgiving of yourself, your ability to forgive others skyrockets.
7. Learn to Let Go
Chopra presents us with an interesting perspective that we can be right and wrong at the same time and it’s part of being spiritual. He insists that yesterday’s beliefs and conclusions must be abandoned for today’s realizations, even if you were quite attached to them. (more…)
Deepak Chopra’s Australian tour is coming soon, where he will remind us of the extremely important connections between mind, body and spirit. He wrote an article in “Ripple News” recently, about ways to nurture your spiritual life. Deepak talked about ten ground rules for spiritual life, which I’d like to reiterate from my understanding of the article, followed by my own reflections. Here is part one which discusses five of the ten recommended rules.

1.Know Your Intentions
Deepak says to identify and bring to the surface, your false intentions. By this he means your secret ill wishes toward others like wanting them to fail in some way and wanting to take things that aren’t yours. Chopra talks about the feelings of fear, greed and hopelessness that come about when these false intentions are active and not to give into them.
My reflections: Knowing your intentions can be achieved by remaining as conscious and as aware of yourself as possible. Before you contact somebody, before you eat something, before you go somewhere, ask yourself why you’re doing it. Getting in the habit of asking yourself why you’re doing something can help you identify healthy and less healthy intentions.
2.Set Your Intentions High
I like this one- Deepak says to aim to be a saint and miracle worker. He suggests for us to ask (the universe, our higher selves) for self mastery and to achieve it as soon as possible. Chopra believes that mastery starts with vision and for us to see the miracles around us as a starting point for more miracles to grow. (more…)
