What it Means to Love Yourself

To love yourself means to take care of yourself as dearly as your parent and best friend and lover would take care of you: when you're sick, when you're tired, when you need encouragement, when you need to believe in yourself.

How to love yourself To honor the person you are with your special and unique things to contribute to the world.
To take the time for yourself and give yourself what you need. To be patient with yourself.

To speak to yourself kindly and with a pleasant tone inside your head. To perceive yourself as precious and worth giving good things to like gifts, healing treatments, massages and good food.

Loving yourself means saying aloud that you appreciate you. Having compassion for yourself.
Putting yourself in environments that foster your creativity, be it with your family or not, be it with your friends or not, be it alone.

Spending time with people who appreciate you, respect you, those who you feel relaxed around and those who want to give to you, rather than take from you. Doing things even though they make you feel scared because loving yourself is feeling alive.

Cleanse your chakras daily, meditate. Spend time with you and you alone. Never working past the point of exhaustion. You are precious and need your beauty sleep. Learn to relax and play.

Explore what you're about- what do you believe in, what don’t you believe in, what do you like, what don’t you like, what are your interests, what would you like your interests to be? Get to know yourself better.

Accept who you are, how you walk, how you talk. Otherwise, improve your walk or your talk but do it for yourself. Understand that you are the universe and the universe is you.

Loving yourself also means to love things outside yourself- the earth, animals, flowers, grasshoppers, nature. Love other people, close up or from far away, but do love them.
See them as a soul in human clothing.

Loving yourself is also loving your problems. If everybody threw their problems into a pile, you would want yours back. Loving yourself is feeling grateful for you and feeling grateful for all you have and all experiences that have lead you to this moment.

Be grateful for the trees. Lie under them. Hug them. Feel their energy, the clarity and peace they give you. Thank them for making it possible for you to be alive. Loving yourself is living with integrity. Think your own thoughts. Feel your own feelings. Be true to yourself.

Take time to place your hands on your heart and thank yourself for existing.

Decide now, to love yourself. Live what it means to love yourself.
